Plasticman
Plasticman by Burkney Jack, videographer Ingi Örn
Lyric:
The eyes see clearer now
and the spells are fading away
the part that seemed to be lost
was found just the other day
My lady of steel grew tired of me
raised her eyes to another pray..
Glad and sad,
under neonlights
i should be glad i was set free
My hero
my plastic man
i see thru your surface
i see
who
you are..
Moment
Moment by Burkney Jack
Lyrics:
Let us reach out and be everywhere
and become the light in each others void
let me be the warmth
for your cold
let us sparkle like snow
in the morning light
let me be the comfort
in your night
In your night
Let us take a chance and conquer fright
and loose our way a single night
let us be everywhere
like the sparklin snow
let me be the high
for your low
let me be the armour
in your war
let us be everywhere
like sparkling snow
and travel on leaves
like drops of rain
Let us be the cure
for each others pain
When Angels sleep
When Angels sleep, song and video by Burkney Jack
Lyric:
In the cold winter mornings
i awake to meet the dark
the darkness does not see me
and smothers the light
its easy to loose ones way
not wanting to stay..
it only takes a moment
while angels sleep
In the darkness there are Angels
that guide us to the light
their beauty is overhwelming
and they take away the fright
sometimes i think they left me
all alone
the dark to fight
but
then they show me
peoples beauty
and fill black skyes
with light
The Ghost
"The Ghost" song and video by Burkney Jack.
Lyric:
Sometimes
when night arrives
and i close my eyes to go to sleep
I know you will come
to visit me
touch my face and smile to me
When light is gone
i feel you strong
i see your eyes
and smell your neck
I reach for you and hold you tight
and feel your breasts
i feel your flesh.
Your lips are soft against my chest,
when morning comes you dissapear
my heart is sad to see you go
but my mind can breathe
cause youre happy
i know.
I endure the day
that my emotions pay
cause i know you will come
visit me at the end of day..
If you would
If you would by Burkney Jack
Lyric:
If you´d stay with me..
i would hold you tight
i would show you stars
hidden in the night
i would give you all my love
and shelter you
when you need me to..
If you leave with me
i will belong to you
and be by your side
as long as you want..
if you´d be with me
i would keep you warm
when nights are cold
If you fall a sleep, i will carry you
thru dark and light
thru day and night
If you give yourself to me
i will be your shield
against the evil
hidden in the night
If you come to me
i will be there for you
thru day and night
and the years to come
In The Company of shadows
In The Company of shadows by Burkney Jack, videographer Ingi Örn. Recorded in Reykjavik
Lyric:
Days grow shorter
and nights get longer
you are far away!
senses fading
memories dissolving
i am no longer strong
getting used to silence
and company of shadows
the thirst is strong..
for you
for you
come back to me!
the sound of your laughter
the warmth of your heart
you are one of a kind!
i think its quite possible
that im loosing my mind..
for you
for you
come back to me!
In the company of shadows
when the silence is strong,
they dance to me!
they try to give comfort
help my mind
think of something else..
other then you
other then you
please
come back to me!
id leave my shadows
and travel far
to be with you
some strength remain
hidden away
so i could come to you
if you would want me to
if you would want me to
I hope you do...
Captain Kennedy
"Captain Kennedy" cover by Burkney Jack. Written by Neil Young
Lyric:
I am a young mariner headed to war
I'm thinkin' 'bout my family
and what it was for
There's water on the wood
and the sails feel good
And when I get to shore
I hope that I can kill good.
My father was a sailor
named Captain Kennedy
He lost his wooden schooner
to the Germans on the sea
Exploded on the water
for everyone to see
And humiliate that American
Captain Kennedy.
I saw him in Nassau in 1971
His strength was failin'
but he still ran a run
He worked 'til his fingers
wore to the bone
To buy that wooden schooner
and sail on his own.
He was known in the islands
as hundred foot iron
That steel hull freighter
was passin' its time
And time flew by faster
with life on the sea
And the days grew shorter
for Captain Kennedy.
I am a young mariner headed to war
I'm thinkin' 'bout my family
and what it was for
There's water on the wood
and the sails feel good
And when I get to shore
I hope that I can kill good.
Dreamer
Dreamer by Burkney Jack
Lyric:
The morning light
a smell of sea
dark hair,
a cigarette
cinnemon tea
brown eyes, a voice
touching me, across the sea
what a dream it would be
to hear and see you
in person
before me..
cant you see
an unsecure jewel in the comings
to be
just wait and see
the dreams will carry you
thru land and sea as wind,
guides a leaf
Like the fish find their way
thru ocean reefs
like the raven hunting its food
finds her way home..
eventually
